U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) Abandonment

Complete the USCIS Form I-407.

Fill out each section in English and Korean as applicable, then sign at the end.

Mail the completed Form I-407 along with the original Green Card to the Eastern Forms Center located in Vermont, USA.

3. Once you receive the official Green Card Abandonment Notice by mail from USCIS, your abandonment process is complete. After abandonment, you can visit the U.S. with ESTA or a tourist visa. To avoid any entry issues due to your previous permanent resident status, carry the Green Card Abandonment Notice when entering the U.S.
