NOC 2011 Release

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2011 is jointly released by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Statistics Canada. This classification replaces HRSDC’s NOC 2006 and Statistics Canada’s National Occupational Classification for Statistics (NOC-S) 2006 and, eliminates the differences that have existed between these classification systems.

캐나다 직업군 분류(NOC) 2011 판을 발표했습니다. 캐나다 인적자원 및 기술개발부(HRSDC)와 캐나다 통계청 공동 주관으로 발표됩니다. 이번 분류는 HRSDC의 NOC 2006과 캐나다통계청의 캐나다 산업 통계 종류(NOC-S) 2006을 대체하며 이들 분류시스템 간에 이질성을 제거하였습니다.

The NOC 2011 implements the revised coding structure based on the NOC Skill Type by Skill Level logic as displayed in the NOC Matrix.

NOC 2011은 NOC Matrix 상에 기재된 바와 같이 기술수준 별 NOC Skill Type을 토대로 개정된 코딩체계를 시행합니다.

NOC 2011 Highlights

• Adopts a unified coding structure of 500 unit groups
• Realigns the NOC-S and NOC structures to a harmonized system of 40 major groups (format html or format PDF)
• Divides the middle management group into three major groups and incorporates all management   occupations into the Skill Level A dimension.
• Classifies all military occupations into one of two existing unit groups, specific to the military, and consistent with NOC-S coding of military personnel for data purposes.

- NOC-S와 NOC체계를 40 주요그룹의 조화시스템으로 변경(HTML형식 또는 PDF형식)
- 3개의 주요그룹으로 중간관리자 그룹을 구분하고, 모든 관리 직업군을 기술수준 A차원으로 포함시킴.
- 군인에 특정 지어, 데이터 목적에서 군 인력의 NOC-S코딩에 부합되도록 모든 군인 직업군을 기존 2개 그룹 중 하나로 분류

The NOC 2011 edition is the result of a major revision cycle that involved in-depth research, analysis and assessment of the input received through consultations and job studies. Structural changes include adding, aggregating or merging and splitting of unit group contents and reorganizing the position of certain groups on the Skill Type and Skill Level dimensions.
